Meet the Authors

Viv Lambert
Viv Lambert studied French, German and Linguistics at Reading University in the UK. She has an RSA Diploma in TEFL and teaching experience in Europe and South East Asia. After several years travelling and teaching English, she returned to the UK to work in the publishing industry. Viv worked in-house editing and commissioning children’s books and Primary EFL materials at Nelson ELT, Dorling Kindersley and Longman ELT. She now works from her home near Oxford as a freelance editor and author specialising in Primary ELT materials. Viv also teaches French at her local Primary School and she is involved in teacher training in Oxford. She has written and co-written various primary courses including Story Central, Next Move, Best Days, and Twist and Shout for Macmillan. Viv has two children and she takes an active part in their school activities. Her hobbies include tennis, running, swimming, travel and languages. She is currently learning Spanish at evening classes.


Mo Choy
Mo Choy is a Graphic Designer, and also co-author of Story Central. After graduating in Graphic Design and Illustration from Kingston University, Mo worked as a freelance illustrator for the magazines industry and as a designer for a Graphic Design consultancy. She then worked at Dorling Kindersley on Primary ELT materials, with Viv Lambert. Mo's keen interest in linguistics and problem-solving abilities became evident when faced with the challenges of producing language materials. She went on to work in educational publishing at Longman/Pearson Education, and later book-packaged ELT courses. Mo has continued to work with ELT publishers as a designer, project manager and author. 
Currently, Mo is co-director and owner of Mo Choy Design with her husband, Dave Cockburn, producing design, illustration, animation and copy for print and digital media. She is also writing a graphic novel about growing up in England in a Chinese immigrant family.
Angela Llanas
Originally trained as an actress in Great Britain, Angela Llanas worked in the professional theatre before moving to Mexico, where she worked as a language teacher, teacher trainer, coordinator, head of department and director for many years at the Instituto Anglo Mexicano de Cultura. She now works full time as an author, and has worked as co-author on many of Macmillan's series. She also travels the world giving talks on techniques for English language teaching.
Libby Williams
Libby worked for many years at the Instituto Anglo Mexicano de Cultura as teacher and coordinator before becoming a full time writer. She has worked as co-author on many of Macmillan’s series, including Adventures, Freestyle, Beeline Plus, Domino, Style, Oxygen, Trends, Grammar Goals, Story Central and Happy Campers.
